Step 1: Application
Fill out our simple online form to start the application process. We'll review your submission and let you know if we're interested in your work. (Please allow 2-4 weeks for a response.)
Before you apply:
- Make sure your book is really done. If we like your sample chapters we'll ask for your manuscript, but we won't consider works that aren't completely finished and typo free.
- Read our process and about pages. We're not a traditional publishing house and our methods might not suit all authors.
Step 2: Submission
If we like your application, we'll ask to see your completed manuscript. We'll review your work and decide whether or not we'd like to represent you.
Before You Submit
- Make sure your book is entirely free of typos and grammatical errors. We are not editors, and we cannot agree to print a book if we see any mistakes. If you submit a book with typos, we will decline to print it, even if we otherwise like the story. For best results, consider hiring a professional proof-reader to go over your work before you submit.
Step 3: Press Prep
If we decide to print your work, we'll design a cover and lay out the interior. We'll assign your book an ISBN and we'll send it off to press!
What You Should Know
- Your cover will be designed by a professional graphic designer. Because our business model requires maximum efficiency, you will not be able to influence the cover design. If you want to design your own cover, we are not the right publisher for you.
Step 4: Sell
Once your book is ready for press, we'll set it up on our distribution network. Your book will be available for sale on Amazon and in major bookstores.
What You Should Know:
- Marketing is up to you. We'll put the word out on our website and talk about your book incessantly at cocktail parties, but you are your book's champion. If you're not prepared to take an active roll in making your book a success, we are not the right publisher for you.
